Each month, OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Allen County recognizes one outstanding high school student as its Student Employee of the Month. For August 2026, we are proud to recognize Talan Fyffe, whose dedication, technical skills, and commitment to his career goals make him a great example of our region’s future workforce.
Talan is a senior at Apollo Career Center in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program and works as a system administrator at White’s Honda Toyota of Lima, where he plays an important role in managing IT systems and supporting the daily technological operations of the dealership. Through his position, Talan has gained valuable hands-on experience troubleshooting complex technical problems, maintaining systems, and understanding the responsibilities involved in a professional IT environment.
Talan’s strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities are evident in the support he provides to the dealership. He takes pride in ensuring that all technology runs smoothly and efficiently, while also assisting staff members with their everyday technical needs. His willingness to learn and sense of responsibility reflect his maturity and genuine passion for information technology.
After graduation, Talan plans to continue pursuing a career in IT. His current work experience has helped solidify his career goals and provided a strong foundation of technical skills as he prepares for the next step in his professional journey.
