OhioMeansJobs Allen County High School Job Coach Program

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) – January 16, 2024

The High School Job Coaches at OhioMeansJobs Allen County strive to enhance the quality of career exploration, employment, and training resources and services available to local youth. Six high school job coaches, who visit their assigned schools every week, collaborate with students and faculty to encourage academic and job readiness, as well as to increase awareness of employment and training resources in Allen County.

The High School Job Coaches from OhioMeansJobs Allen County offer personalized guidance and support to students, ensuring that local youth are well-prepared for success in the workforce. These coaches work closely with students to explore their interests and skills, identify potential career paths, and link them with relevant job opportunities and training programs. Additionally, they play a key role in assisting with job applications, resumes, and interviews, helping students develop the skills and confidence needed for success. The program’s goal is to empower young adults in Allen County to achieve their full potential and build successful, fulfilling careers.
