Each month, OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Allen County recognizes one outstanding high school student as its Student Employee of the Month. For February 2026, we are proud to recognize Maizie Digby, whose dedication, compassion, and commitment to her career goals make her a great example of our region’s future workforce.
Maizie is a senior at Bluffton High School and works at Bluffton Veterinary Hospital, where she plays an important role caring for boarded animals and supporting the daily operations of the clinic. Through her position, Maizie has gained valuable hands-on experience working with animals, learning proper care routines, and understanding the responsibilities involved in a professional veterinary setting.
Maizie’s strong work ethic and attention to detail are evident in the care she provides each animal. She takes pride in ensuring their comfort and well-being, while also supporting the veterinary staff wherever needed. Her willingness to learn and sense of responsibility reflect her maturity and genuine passion for animal care.
After graduation, Maizie plans to attend the University of Findlay, where she will study Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Her current work experience has helped solidify her career goals and provided a strong foundation as she prepares for the next step in her educational and professional journey.
